One of a kind on top of the world

We’ve planned it for months and now here I am, with daughter Tiffany, and a group of friends. It’s just after 3pm on October 3, 2009, and Everest, called the “mother” by Tibetans (Mount Qomolangma) rears up ahead of us. She is gleaming white and silver, seductive yet somehow forbidding.
